Some kind of Shippy CMO thing
Call me out: A (shippy) roleplaying meme
Need some prompts to get a thread going?
1: Confession - The truth is, one of us has been working up the nerve for this conversation for a while now
2: Isolated - We're out in the middle of the woods, or we're stuck in a broken elevator. There's no one around right now (curly.gif).
3: Injury - Could be a gunshot wound. Could be a cold. Either way, one of us isn't going anywhere without help
4: Date - A date! Like a normal person! I'll pick you up at 7 and we'll go ice skating or something.
5: Last night on Earth - We'll we're gonna die anyways (But wouldn't it be awkward if we didn't?)
6: Fuckin' - A traditional way to express your love
7: Wildcard - Run it by me. Maybe we'll try it out
OR some kind of horrifying combination of the above! OR PP me and we can work something cute out.

There's also the reliable Gensokyo Standby of "It happened at a party where everyone was drunk."

EDIT: Anyways how about...
Mrisa ALMOST gets caught escaping the mansion by Sakuya or someone, but Meiling realizes that she's in a really bad mood and might actually hurt Marisa so she hides her. Then she can be like "Wait why did I do that?" and we can freestyle it from there?
Or something...

Haha that sounds pretty cute tho

"Really, I'm doing you a favor! Think of how boring your days would be without me coming to visit like this!"
Marisa shouted over her shoulder as she fled towards the front door of the Scarlets' mansion. In response to her very reasonable point, a dozen knives appeared, jammed into the wall she'd just flown past. The vampire's maid was MAD today, and all because of a few lousy books. And maybe a broken vase. And then there was that time she took a bottle of wine home. And the lawnmower. And a bunch of other stuff. But the point was she was WAY overreacting. "I can see you're upset right now, so I'll just come back later when you're feeling better!"
She rounded a corner, flying low to the ground, and saw daylight! Safety! She just had to get past the useless gatekeeper now. Marisa shot out the front doors of the Mansion and rocketed through the beautifully managed front lawn...
...and then something silvery flickered beneath her, and her broom split in two along a clean cut through the handle. Surprised, Marisa lost her concentration and took a nasty tumble before skidding out the front gate and coming to a stop in a dazed heap. Oh look, it's Meiling. Hi Meiling.

Anyways, she was the most exciting thing that happened most days. She didn't even think Sakuya typically felt more than modest frustration towards Marisa, except for today, where she might legitimately seriously harm or even kill the witch, as frustrated as she was, and that... that was bad. Sure, she was just another human, Meiling had met and vaguely befriended plenty of humans, and watched their mortal lives pass by, there would always be more-
Well, whatever the case, she was actually vaguely paying attention as Marisa shot out across the lawn at her. Blinking down at Marisa, she tilted her head, before looking back up to see where Sakuya was. "You, uh, you alright there?"
no subject
Meiling's quick check revealed that Sakuya was not quite here yet. Knowing Sakuya's abilities, though, there probably was only like ten seconds tops before she quietly out of nowhere. Marisa struggled to her knees, then looked up at Meiling. "You're not gonna start some shit too, are you? You probably are. At least let me catch my breath, first."
no subject
Taking a deep breath, she scooped Marisa up... and darted off to a toolshed off to the side of the garden, tossed Marisa in, raised a finger to her lips to indicate that she REALLY needed to stay quiet, and then returned to her post.
Meiling was actually pretty damn fast when she wanted to be, but why did she want to be?
no subject
Marisa landed with marginally more dignity than she had when she'd crashed in front of Meiling. Her face was a picture of pure confusion, but sheer survival instinct let her keep her mouth shut and not make any noise.
Keeping very quiet, Marisa crawled over to a crack in the wall that let her sort of see the front gate and watched what happened next. Meiling had definitely helped her, but why? Marisa had never given her anything other than grief. She palmed a mushroom grenade, just in case this was some kind of trick, and settled down to watch.
no subject
Lucky for Marisa, Sakuya didn't really know the gardens as well as Meiling did, so shoving her in a shed was actually enough.
She'd... saved Marisa's bacon. Seriously. After all the times Marisa had gotten her in trouble, and how much praise she'd get for stopping the witch, she found herself helping her out, and quietly ducked into the shed when the coast was clear. "Are you hurt?"
no subject
No doubt a youkai wouldn't even have those. Stupid frail human body. She sat up properly, but didn't feel like leaving the shed openly until she was more sure Sakuya was actually gone, so they could talk in here for now. Marisa stared at Meiling for several seconds, trying to decipher what she was feeling before just blurting out "So why'd you help me!?"
no subject
Wait, what?
Sure, she'd always gotten along with humans - she had lived alongside a great deal of human culture - and she didn't really mind Marisa, as funny and entertaining as she was, but... well. Even if it confused her a little, she was too old to try to lie to herself about her feelings.
"I didn't want to see you get really, seriously hurt. You might not believe it, but I'm actually kinda fond of you, Kirisame."
no subject
Which she did. She justified it in various ways. It gave them something to do. She was gonna bring the books back. The eternal community of magicians. Knowledge was meant to be shared. But really deep down she knew she irritated the hell out of most of the mansion.
no subject
Why Meiling didn't want that was. Well. Yeah. "I probably don't have much of a reason to like you all that much, huh?" she admitted, scratching the back of her head. "It's not just because you're cute though, I think."
no subject
You wanna talk about dick moves how about calling her cute out of nowhere. Marisa felt her own face heating up despite herself. "That's...you took me off guard, Meiling. Really? Me?"

The point was Marisa didn't only read spellbooks. She had a small collection of cheap romance novels, some of them from the outside world (and boy were THOSE hard to follow, but she'd done her best), hidden under her bed. None of them involved a confession in a dingy gardening shed at two in the afternoon on a sunny day.
Then again, you could also say that none of them came from a girl to another girl in those books. Meiling wasn't a mysterious stranger, but she was tall and, in her own way, handsome. And really, "interesting and fun" was a better compliment than any of the pretty but timid girls from her books.
"...I think I'm okay with that. Thank you."
no subject
More of those books probably involved sort-of-enemies confessing to each other than any of those other scenarios, and more of them were probably a human with a... not that. So maybe this wasn't the most impossible seeming confession. Frankly, Meiling wasn't going to be too bothered if Marisa turned her down, or at least she told herself that, and she was expecting it. There wasn't much special about her, was there?
So that answer wasn't the most direct, but Meiling couldn't help smiling. "Okay with me being interested, or okay with actually trying a relationship?" she asked to clarify, still fairly casual despite her brightening blush.
no subject
Marisa grinned like an idiot while blushing furiously. Was this actually happening? "We could try it, at least?"

Meiling was hundreds of years old. She HAD to have some better idea for how this was supposed to go. Marisa sure didn't.

She waved at Meiling to wait. "No, no I'm sorry. I shouldn't laugh. It's just, y'know. Not what I expected."
no subject
Meiling shrugged. "I really want to get to know you, and... for you to get to know me. That's what we'll have to do, right?"

Marisa looked down and fidgeted before speaking again. "Should I kiss you, now? That seems like something I should do."

Smoooooth as fuck.

So basically I'm leaning towards Mel or Ed (possibly an older Ed who is less of a total moron?), but I'm not sure who to throw them at. Obviously Ed plays well off of mage-types, but he's fluff-headed, and Meliora is just a mess. But yeah, I'm up for anything with one of the two.
no subject
Well Marisa and Akane are both Magic Types, and I can sort of see both of them getting along/putting up with Meliora too. You also mentioned really liking Lucio/Mel if she weren't gay so maybe we could just...quietly pretend that she's slightly bi for a thread?

But yes, PARTY NIGHT and dancing and probably making out with that guy you hang with all the time because he's cool? Sounds like a good time to me.

The sun had gone down about a half hour ago, and night had fallen over the city. Being bored and having nothing better to do, Meliora'd decided that just letting it be a quiet night wouldn't do at all. There'd have to be night life around this city, right? And when there's night life, there's night clubs. But for something like that, you needed a date.
This all pulled together to wind up with her knocking on Lucio's window before having a seat on the balcony to wait.
no subject
So it took two or three more taps before he perked up a bit and looked around for what that noise was.
no subject
She'd had on her 'I'm going to do something stupid and want a compatriot' smile already, so even without opening the window Lucio may have known that she was about to ask him to hang out.
no subject
"Sup."
no subject
Her hand moved to her hip, as she jerks her head back in a 'let's go' way. "You know you wanna see what the parties are like around here, right? So let's get going."
no subject
Lucio gathered his shoes and such before stepping out onto the balcony. The sensible choice would have been for them to both go out the front door, but the hell with that. Mel had found her way up here. She could find her way down. "Which club is this?"
