Voice resurrection: Melissa Mao

Sgt. Major Melissa Mao ran away from an arranged marriage as a teenager to join the Marines, and since then ended up as part of a secret army of do-gooders known as MITHRIL. She drinks and smokes, she yells and swears, and generally doesn't act very lady-like.

Reply here with a scenario if you have something in mind, or with just a one sentence description of your character and I'll cook something up for a thread myself!

Likely scenarios:

Counter-Terrorist action - Bad guys have some hostages, or are gonna blow something up, or generally cause some mayhem. Mao and you have been deployed to deal with it, either on foot, or in GIANT ROBOTS.

Boot Camp - Mao trains newbies. This usually means brutal obstacle courses, combat drills, wilderness survival, and endless endurance training, all overlaid with a seemingly endless stream of inventive verbal abuse.

Bar hopping - Mao likes her beer, her gossip, and her venting about the day's woes. Do you?

Teasing - Someone's got a cruuush~. Or has some other romantic news and Mao heard about it. She now proceeds to make their life awkward and embarrassing.

Wild card - Anything that doesn't fit in the above categories but seems fun anyways.

The terrorists, a group whose name can be translated to 'Reject Western Education', and who have acquired a nasty habit of executing doctors, teachers and anyone who looks like a student. 12 hours ago, their infantry forces infiltrated and successfully captured a mercenary compound full of Arm Slaves. The French commando leader-a captain with a squad of elite infantry, a map, and a plan to recapture the mercenary compound that was overrun by the terrorists. We understand that you have some interest in this matter, but rest assured that the units are under complete lockdown. The pilots biometric data and multiple encrypted keys would be needed to start them up, and the terrorists have no forces with training in how to operate those units. MITHRIL will not be needed here, the Armée de Terre can handle this incident.

That was the case two hours ago. Now...

As of our last intel report, half the arm slaves are gone. They're taking them somewhere, and we don't know how.

And they have erected some sort of large tent as well. They could be under that. There are also such things as trucks. We do have contingency plans for the units being moved, although the details of such plans are classified. You need not worry yourself.
