A callout RP post
Hey if you wanna do some one-off threads with some of Eric's characters, here's a post you can tag to request one of them!
All my past muses are available for this purpose, but here's a few I have in mind at the moment!

Foley Bartholomew Vanderhart III, AKA The Bluejay
An idle gentleman of wealth and taste by day, a dashing phantom thief who annoys the aristocracy by night, Foley's life would be complicated enough if he wasn't also courting the very detective who is relentlessly in pursuit of his alter ego.
She knows who he is, of course. Don't ask them to explain their relationship. It's complicated.

Junia the holy vestal
After growing up under the strict discipline of a convent, Junia was tossed into a dungeon for succumbing to her own desires and letting the sacred flame go out. While imprisoned and awaiting divine judgement Junia had a revelation that love (and lust) are nothing to be ashamed of and escaped her imprisonment to seek out the life she had always denied herself out of a misplaced sense of duty.
She's also on a quest to save the world from a fledgling god who's mental illnesses are ripping the very fabric of space asunder.

Akane Kowata the mountain eraser
Irresponsible, impulsive, and lacking in common sense, but easy going, charismatic, and naturally talented as a magic user, Akane lives a carefree life traveling the world with her cat familiar Kenny, seeing whatever sights there are to see. She once accidentally let a spell get out of control and destroyed a mountain. She accidentally turned one of her best friends into a dog-girl for a year. She MIGHT have been in a porno once.
Suffice to say, she's had an interesting life so far.

Bai Lin the wandering martial artist
100 years after nuclear war came within a hair's breadth of wiping out humanity entirely, the world is a violent and unpredictable place full of warlords, sorcerers, and things even stranger. Lin is an exiled monk who wanders this wasteland searching for the good in people and pulling it out into the light whether they like it or not. She's also (like Junia, above), trying out all the fun things life has to offer that she couldn't try out as a warrior ascetic.
Fun loving, principled, a little bit gullible, but full of heart.

Phoenix the Cosmic Will
107 godlike beings from a dead universe found their way into ours. One of them, the Phoenix, tried to stop the others from just recreating the first cosmos in this second cosmos, because refusing to change or accept new ideas is stagnation and thus anathema to her. Phoenix has NO memories of her life as a human and very few memories of her life as a Cosmic Will, but is exploring the world to see if she can find out who she is.
"Exploring all the interesting experiences the world has the offer" is kind of a character theme with me isn't it?

Iren Suto, the traveling innkeeper
Formerly a lady of wealth and leisure, Iren studied sorcery and business, then ran away from home to avoid having to get married. Due to a convoluted series of event, she decided to turn her business, an inn by the name of The Laughing Toadstool, into a vehicle for traveling across the multiverse and find a group of lost mages that she feels responsible for.
She's having fun with it, though.

10 Vigilant Gaze Purges The Horizon
In the first age of the world, the forge god Koss stole the cold white flame of Dead Lord Un, lord of all that is not, and forged it into 777 defenders of the law, and they became the Angels who guard the great wheel that is the multiverse. 10 Vigilant Gaze is one of them, and while he has spent millennia in quiet meditation and contemplation of the void, recent events have forced him to take direct action again.
He's long winded, patronizing, and painfully Lawful Good, but if all the troubles in the world are arrayed against you, having him on your side will go a long way towards evening the odds.

FOR JUNIA. likely to turn NSFW eventually, y/n?
[Of course, she did manage to escape, but just barely. Clutching her bleeding stomach, Jade stumbles into the shelter. The rain outside has washed away some of the blood that had covered her body and torn clothes. But as soon as she's on dry ground again, the open wounds bleed out even more.
[Jade winces as she collapses onto a rickety chair of the abandoned shelter. She pulls over her backpack and attempts to start rummaging through it with shaky hands.]
Little help here...? [Jade mutters, not expecting anyone to actually come.
[Blood loss and a concussion may or may not have made her a little delirious. In addition to her bleeding forehead, her swollen eye and torn up shoulder, her leg seems to be bent in an uncomfortable way as well. If it hadn't been for her summoned apparition, she likely wouldn't have been able to escape alive this time.
[And, well. She tries not to think about the implications of that, considering she's likely very much dead already.]
Y
[She asked on reflex, but it wasn’t hard to imagine. Out here in the heavily wooded Tangle of twisting narrow paths lurked the forgotten armies who had failed so pathetically to stop the spread of oblivion. Dead, but still following the nonsensical orders of their dreaming general, they were a danger to any travelers in these parts.
Except for Junia, who was a walking holy ground. They seemed reluctant to approach this old cabin she had claimed as shelter for the night, and she had gotten the place positively cozy.
All that flashed through her mind in an instant and is forgotten when she sees someone in trouble. Especially someone she cares about, but to be honest she would have leapt to a stranger’s aid almost as quickly.
She wasn’t a doctor, but this looked serious. Paracelsus could have explained the exact nature of these wounds and would already be gathering a needle and thread and some foul smelling potion of hers.
Junia couldn’t do that, but she had her own methods. She could already feel the Light responding to her feelings of need, warming her like the sun even in these dark times.]
I-It’s merely a scratch, it looks like. Nothing to worry yourself over…
[As she spoke, doing her best to sound reassuring, light started to gather around Junia’s hands. It wasn’t just a glow, but an almost solid thing. Wispy strands of molten gold, emitting a comforting warmth.]
no subject
[Granted, she is in no position to be picky about what methods are used. Or at least she shouldn't. Not in her state, where she's so concussed she can barely remember why or how she even got to this place... All things considered, spells would be the easiest solution, and yet Jade still has enough sense in her to remotely protest.]
Is that Light Magic...?
[This may be a different world entirely from her own Eventuality, but some things still ring familiar. Undead hoards, cultists, fire... Chances are, healing magic doesn't work the same here, though. And yet there's a deep seated primal dread in her eyes when faced with Junia's light.]
Please don't...
[Even if it meant living through the pain... Of course, she's currently in shock, so the real agony hasn't quite set in just yet. Give it time and no treatment, and she'll be writhing on the floor several minutes from now.
[The logical part of her knows this healing would be the fastest way. And yet there's always that fear lurking in the back of her mind -- you're hurting yourself to help me.
[And is she really worth that energy?]
no subject
[Junia pulled Jade’s clothes aside enough so she could put her hands directly on the injuries while murmuring a stream of archaic sounding prayers under her breath. She could do this without direct physical contact, and often had in the heat of battle, but found that when she had the time, doing it like this worked better.
That should have hurt, putting stress on torn flesh. It didn’t. The feeling of warmth spread from the point of contact. Junia allowed herself to become a conduit for a power far greater than herself, directing it at a level that almost went below conscious thought. Redirect blood flow to less damaged paths while you knit the flesh together. Speed up and direct the body’s natural healing. Guide the regrown flesh to fit in with the flesh around it. Speed up blood production to make up for losses. Her fingertips instinctively and unerringly moved to the most damaged areas, miraculously remaking what was lost.
Afterwards, she always had difficulty describing how she did it, because it wasn’t really her doing it. For a few seconds, while healing, Junia was part of something greater than herself.
Afterwards, the pain would be mostly gone, and Jade would have a new faint scar that looked like it had been there for years. She would probably also feel hungry. Divine light had sped along her recovery a lot, but her body had still been through a traumatic experience and needed fuel to finish bouncing back.
Junia felt empty, as she usually did after healing someone. The conduit between her and the Light was strained, and would need a few minutes to recharge. Until then, her powers would be significantly weaker.
It was a small price to pay for the end result.]
no subject
[When it's over, the hunger definitely sets in, but food is the last thing on Jade's thoughts when it's over. She reaches across her chest to feel her own shoulder, finding the particularly grievous wound where an arrow had punctured her arm to be closed up.
[After a moment, she looks to Junia. If her body felt this way despite being healed, she can only imagine what it must be like for the healer.
[But now she at least has some of the sense to prioritize, as Jade leans in. Her eyes examine Junia's face and body -- though the latter is more difficult with all that armor she wears.]
You... You shouldn't have done that! I was fine.
[Clearly Jade was not, in fact, fine. But when she's convinced that she has already survived much worse, she thought she could suffer through it. The last thing she wanted was to burden someone else just because she was too bloody stupid and careless to think she could handle a fucking battalion with only her and an apparition.]
Are you okay? That didn't strain you, did it? Fuck, who am I kidding... Of course it did. What the heck were you thinking?
[Pot, meet kettle. For all of the worrying Jade does for others, she cares very little for her own safety, even when she's a bloody mess on the floor. And now she's a mended mess with the mind to be an asshole about it.]
no subject
Which was the last thing on either of their minds. Junia quailed under the onslaught of concern washing over her.]
I wasn’t thinking at all, really. You were hurt, so I had to help.
[Even now, with her power at a low ebb, just being near Junia was enough to offer
2hp/rounda constant low level comfort. She couldn’t help being a healer, mentally or metaphysically. She could see the concern- no, the fear in Jade’s eye, though. Something about being healed like this terrified her on a conceptual level, though Junia had no idea what.]
Jade, what’s wrong? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.
no subject
You could've just given me a potion, or some gauze, or... something.
[At least then the Fever would only be affecting her and no one else.]
Just... watch it with the healing, will you? I don't...
[She sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose. While she's very aware that these worlds are different, she also knows that everything comes at a price one way or another... and that includes magic. At least, it does for her.]
Don't you people ever worry about Arcanist's Fever when you do that shit?
no subject
[She sounded uncertain. These were strange times, and she was learning new things ever day. But, she had been healing her friends from a variety of horrible injuries for a while now, and there SO FAR hadn't been any side effects that warranted this kind of reaction.]
What's an arcanist fever?
no subject
[Maybe she's wrong, though. Maybe the rules here are different. Nothing would surprise her at this point, but it almost sounds too good to be true.]
The Fever is caused by magic. You... don't feel the Sea of Eventualities, not even when you're healing?
[That seems almost hard to believe. Even in this strange and alien place, Jade can feel the other worlds tug around her. It's in the very fabric of reality itself -- and not something one can easily sever.]
no subject
[Someone else might have said “like a parent loves their child” but Junia’s parents sold her when she was very young. She barely remembered them, and what she did wasn’t great.]
Anyway…
[Junia wasn’t actually wearing her armor right now, though her robes were plenty concealing. She pulled off her hood and head scarf, though, so Jade could see her better.
It felt a little strange, still, to take her scarf off in front of someone else but Jade had seen her naked already. Her cheeks were a little pink from blushing, even so.]
As you can see, I’m just fine!
no subject
[And then Jade leans in even closer, just a few inches from Junia's face. She hadn't noticed it before, but there is something different about her aura, much like the rest of this world. It must be due to how far Jade is from her own Eventuality, but...
[There are other things on the forefront of her mind.]
Hm. I'll need to see more than your face. Just to be sure.
[As she says this, her hand reaches for the front of Junia's robes. Jade can't shake a slight tingling in her skin when she touches the other woman. In that moment, it doesn't matter that she was mauled until a few minutes ago, her clothes are somewhat torn, or that she's still got blood splatters all over them. She wants to forget about the pain and focus on something else.]
no subject
Goodness! The arcanist fever must be truly fearsome.
[She took a moment to decide if this was foreplay or if Jade was actually that afraid, and decided it was the latter. Which meant undoing her robes.
You might expect practical, modest underwear for a girl like Junia, and she did have a reasonably decent shift of under her robe, but as her outer layer fell to the floor, it was pretty obvious to Jade that Junia was wearing a black lacy bra (or a historically appropriate equivalent but we're running with it.). Something that made her breasts look bigger, rather than something that was more focused on comfort and easy of movement.
Sometimes, she liked to wear something sexy under all that armor. It made her feel a little bit warm and tingly inside. She certainly hadn't intended for anyone to actually see it, today.]
...What should I be looking for?
no subject
[It's also something Jade has had to be mindful of every second of every day since she woke up on those shores of Enderal with budding magic and a Fever. Especially since her own rises each time her apparitions get hurt, and she isn't about to change the way she fights anytime soon.
[The thought lingers only for so long as Jade removes Junia's layers. It didn't occur to her until she's stripped the other woman down to her underwear just what she's done.
[And now she's staring at a big pair of magnificent tits where robes used to be.]
...
[For a moment, she almost forgets that Junia just asked something.]
Ah, well...
[Still staring.]
I realized I probably could've been able to tell... if your aura was off. Without doing all that.
[Which means she didn't have to start taking off Junia's clothes. But hey, here we are.]
no subject
[Junia pouted and stepped closer to Jade. She was struck by how tall she was.]
If you wanted me to get naked, there are easier ways than almost getting yourself killed.
no subject
[For a variety of reasons. Mainly due to her feelings about Light magic. But now that reason has settled in, Jade feels a little stupid. The shame and embarrassment almost supersedes her fluster when she sees that Junia is not in any rush to dress herself again. And she can't help but stare.
[As the other woman moves closer, Jade raises her hands defensively. Despite how tall she is, she's slumping over almost pathetically at the moment.]
I didn't mean to get hurt on purpose, y'know. You can put your clothes back on. If you want.
["If you want" being the key phrase here. Is now really the time for this?]
no subject
You were that worried about me, were you?
[They were alone in a cabin in the middle of zombie infested forests. It was an insane situation to be thinking about how Jade was so obviously making an effort not to stare at her breasts. But, at a level that went beyond mere logic and reason, Junia could feel that tonight would be okay.
Junia was used to paying attention to feelings like that.]
...If either of us should be stripping, it should be you. Those clothes are filthy.
no subject
I... don't like when people risk themselves for me. If it's at their expense.
[Which Light magic usually does. But it's not something she wants to think about at the moment.
[And then Junia just had to remind Jade about the state of her own clothes.]
Right, right. Hang on.
[She sighs, running a hand down her face while her other flicks in the air. A blue light like a ball of flame flings from her fingertips, until the ghostly shape of a woman emerges from the light. She's short, with shoulder length hair and wielding a spectral sword at her hip.
[Jade glances to the ghostly shape for a moment. It looks like she says something, but neither her lips move nor do any words come out. Whatever command passed through, the spirit seems to register it, as the woman simply nods and steps out the front door of the abandoned shelter.
[After a moment, Jade rubs her temples and settles down into the rickety chair.]
She'll... keep watch. In case those things that got me come near this place.
[Never mind the fact that she just conjured a soul from thin air like it was nothing. She just wants to feel safe, and having her ghosts around makes her feel safe.
[Well. Safer, anyway. She can prioritize other things now, as she starts taking off her bloodied gloves.]
no subject
[If healing someone with magic that makes you sick is risking yourself, then refusing healing to prevent the healer from getting sick is also risking yourself. Or so reasoned Junia.
She watched Jade’s magic with curiosity. It reminded her more of Alhazred’s powers than her own. Binding spirits into her service, perhaps? A younger Junia might have fearfully decried this as witchcraft. Now, after all the things she had seen, a guardian spirit simply struck her as useful to have around. She felt like she had seen enough of Jade’s heart well enough to know that whatever her methods, she was not an agent of evil.]
I don’t think they will, but better safe than sorry, I suppose.
[The Light was powerful, but so we’re the agents of Oblivion.
But enough on that. While Jade was focusing on removing her own filthy clothes, she might have noticed a faint rustle of fabric from Junia’s robes as she dropped them back on the ground.
She might not have a lot of experience in trying to actively look sexy but she was making an effort, and the earnest arousal she was obviously feeling lent her an energy that a more seasoned seductress might miss. And even if she had just been standing there passively the sheer, almost shimmery scraps of fabric that were all that covered her right now left very little to the imagination.
She had almost as many scars as Jade did. She had been worried that any potential partner who saw them would think they made her ugly, but if Jade could be so unbelievably sexy despite her scars, Junia figured, why couldn’t she?
Rather than say anything else she waited, hip cocked, for Jade to notice her efforts.]
no subject
[But still, having the soul out and keeping watch sets Jade at ease. Briefly her mind reaches out to the apparition, sharing sight for a brief moment to see if things are safe. And when she turns around, her eyes flicker a bright indigo hue before returning to their normal color and blindness in her left side.
[When they do, she is back to staring down at Junia with a nonplussed expression.]
Ah. You're... not getting dressed?
[There's a slight crack in Jade's voice when she says this, and a part of her doesn't want Junia to. She appreciates the other woman's scars, probably about as much as Junia appreciates seeing Jade's when she peels off her torn, bloodied top.
[Unlike Junia, she doesn't wear anything sexy underneath her regular clothes -- not even a bra to cover her small breasts. It's just not something she ever needed, and definitely wasn't something she felt necessary when she woke up that day.]
no subject
That she had decided to wear them today only to find herself in a position where she actually wanted to look powerful and sexy for someone else was pure serendipity.]
I can, if you want me to.
[Their situation didn’t lend itself to seduction attempts, and Junia was prepared to just drop the whole thing and get dressed again if Kade didn’t seem into it.
But you miss all the shots you never take.]
no subject
Noooo, no no no. This is fine. This... this is good.
[She pauses.]
Unless you're expecting company to show up.
[Save for her apparition, Jade had no one coming for her here that she planned. Really, she wanted somewhere safe to lay low and lick her wounds, so to speak. This seemed a good a place to do that as any.
[With no more wounds to really lick, it doesn't take long for her mental gears to suddenly shift. Not even thinking about it, she starts removing her boots so she can start taking off more of her now torn and ruined clothes.]
no subject
[Tomorrow her journey towards the mountain would resume. It was terrifying to think about.
But first her little band of heroes had to reassemble itself at the nearby crossroads. In the meantime, she had an evening of free time and not much to do with it other than contemplate the end of the world.
This felt like a better use of her time.
Junia started to lean in to kiss her but had to abort the gesture when Jade bent over to start pulling her boots off. She decided to keep talking to try and mask the slightly awkward moment.]
Or whoever I please. If you take my meaning.
[Light above that sounded corny. How do characters in romance novels always know what to say!?]
no subject
[Thinking about tomorrow has been... something Jade was avoiding. She'd have to try to find the portal back to her own Eventuality, knowing that she couldn't stay here forever.
[Literally, she couldn't. It's a miracle that she didn't suffer a brain hemorrhage immediately when she strayed too far from her own world -- or maybe Yuslan's theory about what would happen was just wrong. After all, how much could anyone have known about these things? The very existence of the Aeterna came from an interdimensional anomaly, if the stories are to be believed, but it's not an everyday occurrence that could easily be studied by even the most seasoned Arcanists.
[Though Jade doesn't linger on that thought for long, when she catches a fleeting movement from Junia when she had leaned over to remove her boots.
[Did she... try to go for a kiss?
[The comment she makes after almost all but confirms it. Jade looks up at her with a grin.]
Hey, Chestnut... Are you coming onto me?
[Sure, it was corny -- but it was also cute. It's not like Jade hasn't made similar lines in the past.]
no subject
[The instinctive denial of a child caught with their hand in the cookie jar.
But like, Junia was standing around in her underwear, saying things like “I can do whatever I please. Or whoever I please. If you take my meaning.”
She wasn’t being subtle.
Her face flushing red, Junia kinda looked down, again looking like a child in trouble. A lifetime of internalized guilt at doing or thinking anything sexual wouldn’t just go away overnight.]
Sorry. I just thought that maybe…
Nevermind. It’s stupid.
no subject
[As it is, she can't help but tease a bit. Especially in an effort to try to recover from her little freakout a moment ago.]
C'mon, don't start acting coy, now.
[She pauses, pretending to give it some consideration.]
Or do. It's kinda cute.
[It really is. Jade doesn't mind giving Junia new experiences or emboldening her to say silly things now that she's free to say whatever is on her mind. After a moment's pause, Jade finally feels bold enough herself, and brushes her hand over Junia's hip, touching the fabric of her undergarments.]
You gonna finish that thought?
no subject
[Junia is inexperienced in these matters, but she can tell Jade is pretty much perfectly aware of what is going on here.
But that's not a problem, right? She keeps on reminding herself that she isn't doing anything wrong, no matter how much it feels like it. She clasped her hands behind her back and actually kind of kicked at the floor, looking almost childlike in her demeanor for a moment.]
Since we don't have anything else to do tonight, maybe we could...
[The mother superior might have said "engage in profane fornication" but even Junia could feel that that wasn't the right thing to say here. What DO normal people say in a situation like this?]
...fool around a bit?
Or a lot?
no subject
See, isn't it so much better to just say what's on your mind?
[No shame in offending some "higher power" or the followers that twist their faith to control others. No beating about the bush. Jade always prefers getting straight to the point.
[Rather than dwelling on the less pleasant matters that were plaguing her a moment ago, Jade slides her hands up Junia's sides, fingers finding the lower hem of that lacy bra. Her attention drifts towards her breasts.]
You look like you're already raring to go with somebody tonight, anyways.
[It doesn't occur to Jade that some people would wear sexy things under their armor for any other reasons.]
no subject
[She didn’t stop blushing, but her facial expression changed from embarrassed to just a bit mischievous.]
It was for me. Sometimes I just like to wear exciting underwear. Even if no one but me gets to see it it makes me feel a little warm and tingly inside all day long.
[She stuck her chest out a bit, leaning into Jade’s touch.]
Do you like it?
no subject
Oh my, Chestnut! How absolutely scandalous of you... and very unbecoming of a woman of the cloth.
[Of course, she's more teasing than chastising, as she allows herself to explore Junia's skin some more with her own fingers, her touch no longer hindered by the gloves she normally wears.
[Still in a teasing mood, she shrugs a shoulder.]
It's all right, I guess. I like you all the same without any clothing, sexy or not.
[In truth, she does like it a lot. It's not the type of garment she's used to seeing. And as she speaks, Jade starts pulling Junia towards her lap.]
Is it comfortable, at least?
no subject
I’ll have you know they’re VERY comfortable. Properly fitted and supportive.
[Jade was not, shall we say, well padded. But Junia didn’t know many people who were taller than her, so she didn’t get to sit in laps very often. She snuggled up against her chest and made herself at home.]
Maybe I’ll just leave it on all night.
[There was a note of challenge to her tone. Daring Jade to get handsy with her. Of course, getting handsy was her goal tonight, but…
Her special underwear was just “all right?” She felt a tad bit miffed about it.]
no subject
[Jade arches a brow, unable to help a shit-eating grin from forming and cracking innuendos. She brings Junia closer to her own mostly naked form, and while Jade is not particularly voluptuous, she at least doesn't make for an unstable seating arrangement when bringing Junia down onto her lap.
[At the apparent challenge, Jade just cants her head at the bra.]
Hm. I dunno. Maybe I'll have to see about getting that fitted... off?
[She snorts, feeling ridiculous now as her attempts at being smooth and sexy falling a little flat with that one.]
Sorry. That was bad. My brain must still be a little busted from a few too many hits.
no subject
[Perhaps because the shopkeep cared about reputation. Perhaps because Junia had arrived carrying a big mace and wearing plate mail. Either way, it had been a very painless experience.
As she got comfortable in Jade's lap, she couldn't stop a note of concern slip into her voice.]
Did I not finish healing you? Does your head hurt? Head injuries can be very serious if left unchecked.
[Sometimes you try to flirt with someone and they just take you at your word instead of reading between the lines.]
