You know what to do

Honestly elves do too, more's the pity.

nobody's complained about my not wearing shoes yet, though. so those are probably optional.

For the kinds of dives we usually frequent, no shoes is fine.

oh, are there places where I have to have shoes? my, so many rules...

it's amazing how much I'm learning about people, these days.

It's really not that complicated. If you're not sure, just think about how much money the people present have. The more money they have the more layers of clothes you will probably be expected to wear.

ah, what a clever way to remember.

layers aren't bad, I suppose. but I think my favorite clothes are the swishy ones, like my shawl. they remind me of my currents, they way they drape and ripple. it's nice.

Unless you're at Lord Fauntleroy's estate. The man is a famous nudist, and you need not resort to any layers at all, should you so desire.

Context is important to consider.

i see...

do you think I'd still be allowed the shawl, if I wore that and nothing else?

[She likes the shawl, okay. It's comfy for her.]

On the off chance that we visit Lord Fauntleroy, yes you can wear a shawl. The nudity is optional, is my understanding.
motherlypondness: because some moistened bint (hello there)

nudity is always an option. it's just sometimes the option that gets you arrested.

[Give her credit, Lutea is learning very quickly.]
