OC post!

[When you come from a post-apocalyptic wasteland dotted by the irradiated ruins of old cities, it doesn't take much civilization to impress you. Bai Lin, presented with a fairly ordinary city by present day standards (through the magic of Jamjar RP settings, we'll say), has stars in her eyes.]
I didn't think there was anything like this in all the world! It's so BIG! And bright! And clean! I've gotta get my list!
[She immediately starts digging through her backpack.]

[There was a furious battle, which you ultimately won. Your defeated foe lies before you, at your mercy, and you've decided to kill them once and for all. A final bloody solution.
The only problem is Bai Lin, who just stepped physically between you and them. She was on your side up now, but...]
The fight is over! You can't just kill them!

Okay so I know I said that this wouldn't get out of hand but-
[In the distance, you hear another burning building collapse, as riots in the street turn against the cruel regime that has ruled for years.]
When you get down to it, who can really know the future? That's the realm of knowledge not meant for mere mortals like us, right?

Don't you dare get in my way! I have to end it!

[Lin doesn't budge an inch.]
Look at him. He can't even walk anymore. What would be the POINT of killing him?
no subject
[He lifts his chin, seething in place]
Get out of my way!
no subject
[She starts slowly walking towards him.]
This is revenge, isn't it?

I had thought you soft and unsuited to dealing justice, but perhaps it is not the case.

[She doesn't look mad, at least. That's a relief.]
I'm still worried they're gonna burn the whole town down, which won't do ANYONE any good.

[Without further ado, Merciless takes out her knife and nick her finger. A copious amount of blood flows out... and flows and flows, far more than should be from a wound like that, more than should be in a human body. It gathers into a strange glyph on the ground. An oppressive feeling begins to emanate from the glyph, like Death itself is resting its icy fingers upon your neck.]
I will have to do this at a few spots to drive the rioters away.

Sorcerers are weird.]
And this won't actually hurt anyone, will it?
no subject
[She was at ease in the atmosphere created by the blood ritual, and that showed in her posture. To her, it was a peaceful feeling.]
But we still need to resolve the core problem that led to this rioting: the tyranny.

[Okay, Rozalin was all for turning her dad out on his ear, or at least begging him to not be so cruel, but she is not here to see her legacy be looted and burned like this.]
no subject
[Her expression softened, slightly.]
But let's see if we can't maybe stop it from burning ALL the way down.
no subject
[Her expression hardens a bit.]
And if they lose, my father will do far worse than death unto them.
no subject
Then it's easy. We just have to make sure they don't lose. Where's your father?
no subject
I think that is him right now. But wait, you can't actually mean to-I mean, he's too strong, he'll kill you!

[Because despite her own growing strength, she dares not stand against him.]
