[Tsuyu sits down besides you and speaks without preamble.]

Hi. I always say what's on my mind.

[She's clearly gearing up to make some kind of comment about you, but obviously I can't write up that comment until I know who you are.]

[At some kind of party. There's a plate that used to be covered in that kind of cookie that you like, but now there's only one left. As you were reaching for it, however, there was a whipping sound and a blur of something pink stretching across the room, and then the cookie was gone.

Perched on a sofa, on the other side of the room, Tsuyu chews on something while staring at you with those weird eyes, as if she's DARING you to make something of it.]

Ribbit.

[It's August, and it's just miserably hot out. Everyone is beating the heat in their own way. Tsuyu is doing it by apparently just hanging out at the bottom of the swimming pool and never coming up for air while poking at her smartphone.

Eventually she notices you staring (because that really is a strange sight if you don't know her.) and surfaces.]

You really don't need to worry. I can breath underwater just fine.

[From her relaxed attitude, the answer's probably obvious.]

Or at least, a poke to Dee's cheek.]

[The poking finger goes straight through... Then suddenly Deimonea's cheek turns into a maw.]

[froppy]

[She jerks her hand back, reflexively.]

Ah. I suppose that probably couldn't have actually hurt me, now that I think about it.

[phobophage]

That's right! The worst I can do is scare you, and I'm not really interested in doing more than that.

[froppy]

And I don't have any psychic powers to get back at you. I think there's a psychic in Class B, though. Maybe I should get him to make you stop.

[phobophage]

He probably couldn't beat me if he's only a trainee. But that sort of thing's always a pain and I don't care enough to go through the effort.

[froppy]

So I win?

[phobophage]

If you like to think of it that way. I won't scare you, anyways.

[froppy]

But you'll keep scaring other people?

[phobophage]

Well, yes. It's what I am.

[froppy]

Well I wouldn't be much of a hero if I let you just keep preying on humans, would I?

[phobophage]

Don't you have better targets? Like people who actually hurt or kill humans? I'll even help you take a few down if it'll help you feel better. Wouldn't be the first time I've done that.

[froppy]

Hmm...

[She's considering it!]

If you'd like, I can tell you about the Dream Savior War.

[froppy]

Is that entirely relevant? What is it?

[phobophage]

Basically it was when a bunch of assholes tried to cause a lot of death and despair. I helped the Dream Saviors put a stop to that.

[froppy]

Good job!

You're still planning to scare humans though.

[phobophage]

That's right. I can see we're getting nowhere with this.

I guess we aren't. I don't supposed I could convince you to not mess with everyone's heads?

[phobophage]

Nah. It's too much fun to stop, and besides, I'd cease to exist if I stopped doing things like that. I wasn't kidding when I said it's what I am, and without that I'm no more.
