The Space between Spaces

I know this little interdimensional space station we've got isn't the most luxurious of accommodations, but with a bit of elbow grease, we should be able to get more parts of it up and running, and eventually we'll have a proper little home away from home. For now, just be thankful we can generate a bubble of realspace so the terrifying gulf between universes doesn't drive us all mad while physics falls apart around us.

Touching up the paintjob will have to wait, though. Contact has been made with a new fragment, which has a high concentration of Exiles. A whole bunch of people who aren't where they're supposed to be. Our job, as the glaziers of the multiverse, is to find them and get them home. Or, if we can't get them home, at least get them HERE so they can make an informed decision about what they want to do next.

All Glazier agents will be issued an anchor harness, a comm device, and a locator.

The anchor harness is lightweight and unobtrusive enough to wear under your clothes, but keeps you connected to home base. If something goes wrong and you need to get back here in a hurry, just pull the ripcord and you'll be warped back immediately. Try not to do so where the locals can see you, but your life is more important than our secrets. They can also project a holographic disguise, allowing you to fit in with the locals

The comm device is basically a smartphone with a headset, but it's connected by a transdimensional line, so no local surveillance should be physically capable of intercepting or jamming our communications. Use them to keep in touch with other Glaziers.

The Locator is the most important tool we have, though. It lets you know when you're near an Exile. It won't tell you EXACTLY who the Exile is, so you'll have to use your best judgment to figure out who it is if there are several people together, but once you do, you can convince them to come back with you or tag them for later retrieval.

It's possible the Exile will be someone you recognize. They won't remember you. In their current state, Exiles have NO memories of their past lives. But they might feel some kind of lingering connection with you. A phantom of however they felt about you originally. If you can, use that to get them to come with you. Once they leave their current fragment, their true memories and their true body will snap back into place, if they don't snap back to their home fragment immediately.

The drop shutes are ready whenever you are. Gear up and get going!
