This is going to get a little complicated
The multiverse was shattered.
It wasn't destroyed. It was shattered like a stained glass window that someone threw a rock at. The pieces remained, but in a broken jumble.
Something, maybe someone, tried to clean things up a bit, shoving all the souls wherever they could fit in the bits of universes that still seemed relatively stable. Which is why your life feels...wrong.
You have memories of living here for your whole life, because the destruction of the multiverse happened in a way in which a conventional understanding of time is meaningless, but no matter what you do you can't shake the feeling that this isn't where you belong. But...You have no idea where you DO belong. So you just go on, living your life the best you can, pretending that it's not THAT bad. That maybe everyone feels like this and you aren't any different from them.
Until one day, when someone from a place that wasn't a place appeared. Someone from the hole where the stained glass window used to be, who was trying to find all the pieces and put them back. Its a big job. It's the biggest job there's ever been since the multiverse was created. It's not something one person can do. Or a hundred people can do. Or a thousand. The only thing that could possibly make this job take longer would be if it never got started.
You still don't feel like you belong here. And this stranger from that place between places can't fix that. But they can give you a purpose. One that does something no other purpose in the multiverse does. It acknowledges that something is WRONG.
Somewhere out there is your home; The place you ACTUALLY belong. If you follow this stranger, maybe you'll actually find the place you belong. Maybe it's still out there, in the ruins of that magnificent window.
And maybe you'll find the guy who threw the rock.
Shattered Cosmos is a panfandom RP about an organization based in a space station lost between the dimensions of a shattered multiverse and trying to clean things up a bit. Characters will join the game AUd into various other original settings, only to be rescued from their false lives there by older characters and set on the mission of trying to figure out how to restore the multiverse to its previous unfractured state.
The EXILES still live a seemingly ordinary life, aware that something is wrong, but unable to determine what, exactly. The GLAZIERS (to extend the stained glass metaphor) live a life of toil as they work endlessly to restore the multiverse to its original grandeur, and to find Exiles and restore them to where they belong. Some Exiles can be warped right back to their homeland. Others don't have quite so strong a link home, and their only hope of escape is to join the Glaziers in their endless quest.
