The nervousness he was feeling, at least for the moment, was pretty easily pushed aside by the fireball joke. At the very least, it was enough to get a laugh out of him which made him feel much more at ease.

"I can't really disagree with that, that was a little hotter than I could handle. I'm sure there are better ways to warm up though...the real question is are those ways more fun?"

Not to knock anything in particular, but he had to imagine being able to conjure a literal explosion at will was pretty fun. That being said...even he was surprised he was able to get that pick up line out properly. Maybe there was hope for him yet.
